What we collect. When you use our rug designer we collect your email address, your design choices (style, colors, size, shape, material, and any description you write), and — only if you choose to upload one — a photo of your room. When you order, Shopify collects your name, shipping address and payment details to fulfil the order.
How we use it. Your design choices and room photo are used solely to generate your rug designs and show them previewed in your room. Your email is used to save your designs so you can return to them, and to contact you about your designs and orders. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your room photos to train AI models or for any purpose other than creating your designs.
Cookies & analytics. Our store runs on Shopify, which sets cookies needed for the cart, checkout and site security. We may also use analytics and advertising pixels (such as Google Analytics and Meta) to understand how the site is used and to measure our ads; these tools receive usage data like pages viewed and, where you have an account, a hashed identifier — never your room photos or designs. You can opt out of ad-related sharing any time via "Your Privacy Choices" in our footer.
Storage. Designs and room photos are stored securely in private cloud storage and are never made public. Payment processing is handled by Shopify; we never see your full payment details.
Your rights & choices. Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of ad-related sharing. Email info@personalizerug.com any time to exercise any of these — including deleting your designs, photos and personal data — and we will respond within the legally required time.
